Maggie’s prepared to do anything to get into the wedding of the century.
Even pretending her sworn enemy is actually her boyfriend…
After years of working too hard at her wedding-planning business, Maggie Mitchell is allowing herself a vacation. Finally relaxing on an island in Bora Bora, she’s refusing to let anything ruin this for her. That is until in walks Brody McFadden, her brother’s best friend – and her sworn enemy.
Brody is here for the ‘wedding of the century’ taking place on the island. And despite Maggie’s promises to herself that she won’t work while she’s on holiday, when things start to go wrong with the celebrations, she knows offering her services as a planner will help her own business. The only catch? With Brody as her only way in, she needs to pose as his girlfriend to get the job… and let him stay in her bed for the week.
Tensions rise, irritation flairs, but despite years’ worth of bickering behind closed doors, Maggie can’t quite squash the sparks building between her and her new fake boyfriend. But as the wedding day draws closer and everything starts to go wrong, it just might be Brody who sends Maggie’s business crashing down – and her heart along with it.

Really good
I recently discovered Meghan Quinn and I like her books a lot both on KU and Audible. There is always a cliffhanger that I wish to skip, but that is me, and the characters are always well presented. ð gonna read more!
I freaking loved Bridesmaid for Hire. It was entertaining and charming with fantastic characters. I loved the antagonistic relationship between Maggie and Brody, their verbal sparring, and watching it morph into something more. I loved the ins and outs of their history, the humor, the drama, and the exciting build to them coming together. There were so many hilarious scenes that had me cracking up, I couldn’t get enough. This was an incredible read!I loved Maggie and Brody and the witty barbs thrown between them. I loved how they were thrust together in this unique situation in Bora Bora, creating a countless number of hilarious scenes that had me laughing. I felt so much for Brody, he was such a good guy but could not catch a break and it seemed like the universe was against him while vacationing. This created some incredibly funny moments. I loved Maggie and how tenacious and outgoing she was, she had a heart of gold. I loved learning about their feelings and how long they’d been harboring them. I loved the growing want and need between them and thought there was great development. When their feelings started to come to life and Brody turned on the charm, I pretty much melted. I loved that building heat and sexual tension between them and when it finally unleashes, it was perfection. This baby was steamy hot! There’s a lot thrown at Maggie and Brody helping to create a lot of comical, lively moments. I liked the people involved and the various interactions bringing even more humor and a bit of drama and tension. Brody with the guys on the island was fun. I also liked Brody’s relationship with Gary, Maggie’s brother. It was a true bromance that was really quite sweet. There were characters mentioned from stories I have not read and now I’m excited to go back and read those books as well.I loved this so much. It was laugh-out-loud funny, heartfelt, spicey, and sweet! I am a sucker for great banter and this story excelled with it. I absolutely recommend Bridesmaid for Hire. This book left me smiling and ridiculously happy!
This was a great read! Started this book this morning on audio while doing housework and I’ve just finished the ebook now at 2:45am, while trying not to wake up my husband with me laughing out (the bed was vibrating – behave!! ð)I literally couldn’t put it down! The storyline was brilliant and the characters were really likeable and so funny. The chemistry was hot ð¥ð¥Definitely a brilliant read x
While I have loved Meghanâs Cane bros series sometimes itâs nice to move away from the whole billionaire thing, and thatâs exactly what we get with Brody, a man looking to get a leg up on his competition at work while trying to impress his boss at the bossâs daughterâs Bora Bora wedding. I loved that Brody was more of an âevery manâ (while still being hot) rather than in total control of his life. Then we have Maggie, whoâs also trying to impress to further her business and happens to be the sister of Brodyâs best friend. Queue forced proximity, enemies to lovers and brothers best friend! Add in the absolutely horrible father of the bride and Bradyâs boss, Daddy Reggie and we have ourselves quite the rollercoaster ride.Oh and I love the connections to the Cane brothers and Almond Bay too. A nonstop read for me.
Meghan Quinn reigns Queen of the Rom-Com’s. No one, and I mean no one, has me cackling like her! This book was Honeymooners (Christina Lauren) with a sprinkle of the Cane Brothers and a giant scoop of spice.Maggie & Brody are hilarious from the start. *MULTIPLE* times throughout this book I was hysterical. I even woke up the husband a couple times. When Maggie’s cheek met Brody’s toosh during the 3-legged race, the sneeze, the pull down, I can’t! SO funny! Meghan also has a way with her words. She writes conversations so fluidly that you forget you are reading. Her books truly bring me into the moment like I am there for the entire story. Brody sure got rung through the ringer, this guy couldn’t catch a break! In true MQ form, we are reunited with some other favorites. Mainly the Cane brothers (insert heart eye emoji). I am very excited for Meghan to introduce us more formally to the newest Billionaire brother’s in her world – the Hopper’s. With Hardy’s passion project dealing with almond’s – I sure hope we get more of Hattie & Aubree and Almond Bay. You know Meghan never disappoints when it comes to expertly tying all of our favorite couples/worlds together.Hudson Hopper – think HuxleyHardy Hopper – think JP with a whole lot of BreakerThere isn’t a single Meghan Quinn book that I don’t recommend reading. Read them out of order, in order. Doesn’t matter. You will enjoy amazing banter, hilarious situations, loyal friendships, spice, and always a HEA.Tropes:-Rom Com-Fake Dating-Forced Proximity-One bed-He falls first and hard-Frenemies to lovers / Second Chance-ish’I came to Bora Bora with one thing in mind, to find a guy in a speedo that would do dirty things to me. Well, there he is.'”The hate was a mask for how I really felt””And how do you really feel?””Like I could be one happy **dude** with you in my life””Any chance I got, I looked your way. Sometimes it was to convince myself that I didn’t have feelings for you. Other times it was because I was so desperate to look at you again…”
â Yup, youâve guessed it, Maggie Mitchell is my dream girl. âMaggie is on a well deserved vacation with plans to have an epic fling, then she finds out about the big wedding happening and the family who could get her business on the map.âThe hold he has on me. I hate that I like it so much.âBrodyâs mentor sends him to Bora Bora to get on their bosses good side who is there for his daughters wedding before his major pitch. He goes with no plan but he wasnât expecting his best friends sister to show up and announce they are dating.âI donât need space from you, Maggie.âMaggie and Brody decide to keep up the charade during their 10 day vacation to hopefully get what they both want. But the thing is, they donât have the best relationship and have to share a room since Brody had no where to stay. This book had me out right cackling for about 80% of the book. When the family realizes they are short a bridesmaid, Maggie offers to step in and help by replacing that bridesmaid and helping Haisley, the bride, with anything she may need. The family invites them to their wedding week festivities but it seems like Brody doesnât have the best luck. The situations they get themselves into was so entertaining to read and his inner monologue was absolutely hilarious.I loved their mutual pining, the banter, the chemistry between them and what they get to explore when certain truths of their past is revealed.I love how unexpected characters step up to help these two when bombs get dropped and the new friendships that they made.Next up is Hardy and Evelyn and I literally canât wait!
