I purchased this as a way to dock my laptop on the shelf underneath my desk and it is perfect. Great size and all of the ports needed for general office work from home. There arenât many options like this out there, so glad it works well. Havenât used as a laptop mount yet as I work on external monitors, but that was a nice surprise feature ð»
This dual HDMI docking station has all the necessary sockets to plug in a modern laptop. I say âmodernâ because anyone with an old one with things like a VGA video output will be disappointed. The input for the unit relies on an up to date modern USB C connection which ferries all the necessary data including video to the other sockets on the unit.Thereâs a very useful high capacity charging port, but you have to supply the power to pass this along to your connected device. It claims to have a high wattage capacity. The units which were lower powered seem to work fine. The construction is very robust. Thereâs the main unit which has two stabilising arms which you unfold to give the unit more support. The attractive metal finish has a bit of a sheen to it which looks nice in my view. I was most impressed by how solid the unit feels. The description says the unit can be used with a Steam Deck which sadly I donât have to try with the stand. However I do have access to a PC laptop and a MacBook. There are two high speed USB A style sockets. I plugged in some USB storage to each of these and also swapped one out to try with some SSD external storage which I have to try moving some files around. There were no issues here. There are two HDMI ports. To test these I had to purchase a new high speed USB cable to connect our Mac to the tv in this instance. The good news is that there was a great on screen picture on my OLED tv. I did have to adjust the scanning function on the tv to make sure the output was displayed properly. The picture quality was great. I wasnât able to test the full high speed gigabit connection as my network nowhere approaches the kind of internet speeds this unit supports, however it did pass along my top speeds with no issues.A good solid robust unit with all the connections of a modern PC/Mac.
From a design perspective, this is one of my favorite docking stations so far. It has a lot of flexibility for making space on your desk, whether you opt for the slotted approach or the angled. I don’t have a lot of room on my desk and either had to use docks with vertical stands or put my laptop on a riser above a horizonal dock. This dock allowed me to consolidate the space my laptop uses even further by storing the dock under the laptop and raising the screen.I do wish that there was a way to deploy the legs without having to lift the whole thing up, as I would like to be able to switch quickly between having my laptop open resting on the dock and closed in the slot when more surface space is needed. The ports are also quite minimal. Aside from the second HDMI port, it seems like the bare minimum. No aux port and only 2 USBs, you’ll likely be using this with an additional USB hub and/or some sort of adapter. No power adapter included is also a bummer. At least the ports that it does include are relatively high performance. At the price, it’s worth picking up if you have a power supply and can make do with the ports it offers.
The QUUGE 7-in-1 docking station offers a lot of features, making it a useful accessory with devices like the MacBook Pro or iPad. It comes with two HDMI ports that support high resolutions like 8K@30Hz and 4K@120Hz, providing sharp visuals, along with a Gigabit Ethernet port for a reliable internet connection. The docking station also includes two USB-A 3.0 ports for peripheralsOne of the key benefits of this docking station is its versatility. It functions as a docking hub and foldable stand (of sorts) Made from aluminium alloy, it feels solid and durable, and the non-slip silicone mats protect your devices from scratches. However, while the QUUGE 7-in-1 docking station has plenty of features, it comes at a relatively high price. For those on a budget, it might feel a bit expensive, especially considering that there are other docking stations on the market with similar functionality at a lower cost. If you need all the features it offers and value the design, it could be worth the investment, but it’s important to weigh the price against your actual needs.
I recently added the QUUGE 7-in-1 USB-C Dock to my setup, and it has been a game-changer. The dual HDMI ports are fantastic for connecting multiple displays, supporting 8K at 30Hz and 4K at 120Hz, which is perfect for both high-resolution work and immersive gaming. The 1Gbps Ethernet connection ensures speedy and reliable internet, and the two USB-A ports are a great bonus for fast data transfers. With its 100W power delivery, it keeps my laptop charged while managing my desktop setup seamlessly. The vertical stand is a nice touch, saving desk space and keeping everything organized. Overall, it’s a solid, high-performance docking station that has streamlined my workspace beautifully.
