Avevo appena terminato -detestandolo- âResurrezioneâ di Tolstoj e la voglia di leggerezza era tanta, poi avevo la testa annebbiata da ormoni vari, quindi leggere quegli orripilanti appunti era il metodo migliore per stringere la nostra âamiciziaâ. Accetto deliziata ;-9. Come scriveva? Male, malissimo, ma vabbè. Si vede che mio marito non sarà uno scrittore.Ad un certo punto la tragedia: mi confessa che non è mai riuscito a leggere âUlisseâ di Joyce.Mi maledico, perché anche io non lâho mai letto.Annaspando, cerco di sfoderare la lettura di âMemorie da una casa di mortiâ, scritto semisconosciuto e pesantissimo dellâamato Fiodor che racconta la âkatorgaâ in Siberia, al cui confronto âI fratelli Karamazovâ assomiglia allâallegra fiction âi Cesaroniâ ma in salsa sovietica.Glisso. Con eleganza.Rimedio acquistandolo e leggendolo subito, certa che quella detestabile lettura mi avrebbe aperto la porta del suo cuore e non solo, pronta a vantarmene prima possibile.Come è andata a finire? Beh, lui è diventato papà di due splendidi bambini ed io sono ancora single. Dopo una âfriend zoneâ da manuale, ha incontrato âla donna della mia vitaâ, io mi sono sciroppata il libro che ho più odiato nella mia vita (ancora oggi, al solo sentire nominare Molly o Milly ho lâorticaria) e continuo a chiedermi cosa accidenti significasse il capitolo col cane morto in spiaggia.RECENSIONEQuesta ampia (ed inutile) premessa per parlare di un testo irriverente, che ci racconta i classici in modo iconoclasta, senza quella deferenza che spesso concediamo ai capolavori indiscussi della letteratura mondiale. Ammettiamolo, abbiamo sempre sognato di riferire a qualche intellettualoide quanto barboso fosse quel âcapolavoro indiscusso della letteratura mondialeâ, come Fantozzi, che dopo lâennesima visione della corazzata Potiomkin, esprime un suo icastico e quanto mai ficcante giudizio tranchant sulla celebre pellicola, con gli storici successivi novantadue minuti di applauso.Intendiamoci, il libro non ci dice che i classici siano noiosi o sgradevoli, anzi, ce li mostra con simpatia e franchezza. Il succo è quello: svecchiare i libri âvecchiâ e togliere finalmente quellâaura da grande classico che tutti dovremmo leggere, nessuno ha mai letto, eppure tutti ne parlano con deferenza ed ossequio. I testi analizzati sono riletti in chiave irriverente e per ognuno -o quasi- di essi viene consigliata una canzone come colonna sonora ideale, un disegno, un motto, una citazione improbabile, un riassuntazzo tutto pazzo ed un proverbio. In mezzo a queste chicche, una rilettura ironica, tagliente, irriverente, di grandissimi classici che ognuno di noi ha letto (perché li avete letti, eh!).Ed è subito âcelo/mancaâ, solo che invece delle figurine dei calciatori ci sono libri immortali. E tra i âceloâ parto immediatamente in vantaggio, col mitico â1984â, testo immenso di Orwell del 1948, con un Grande Fratello che non ha il simpatico nomignolo di GF, non è condotto dallâadorabile Signorini ma è in realtà una terrificante distopia dove gli ossimori âla guerra è paceâ e âlâignoranza è libertaâ sono la norma e gli abitanti non sono certamente i âgieffiniâ. Naturalmente non manca il buon vecchio Fiodor con âLe notti biancheâ, dove la protagonista a cui ho ârubatoâ il nick incontra un poveretto e lo friendzona come se non ci fosse un domani. Rivedo me stessa col tizio che non aveva letto lâUlisseâ¦Alla parte dedicata a âI promessi sposiâ, il riassuntazzo pazzo ci pone con disarmante verità quello che tutti sappiamo e nessuno osa dire: essere invitati ad un matrimonio in estate è crudeltà . Ci odiano e pertanto ci invitano.CONCLUSIONISpero che questa mia recensione sopra le righe vi abbia strappato almeno un mezzo sorriso, ho cercato di adattarmi allo spirito del testo, ovvero ironico, spiritoso ed irriverente. Ovvio, il testo è scritto millemila volte meglio della mia misera recensione, altrimenti sarei una celebre scrittrice e staresti leggendo il mio libro ;-D è un testo che mi sento di consigliare a chi ama la cultura, ma non quella polverosa, noiosa, statica e, diciamolo, inutile. à un libro per chi ha una mente fresca, attiva, che non si scandalizza se si abbinano il programma tv trash ed il capolavoro immortale della letteratura. Un testo perfetto per una mente agile, capace di passare dallo chic allo choc con nonchalance, che conosce lâironia e che non ama i totem ed i monoliti intoccabili, come spesso i classici vengono trattati, rendendoli spesso molto distanti e poco attraenti al lettore moderno. Ricordando Calvino, il cui testo âPerché leggere i classiciâ ci offre un punto di vista intenso e suggestivo, mi sento di riassumere che i classici non sono soltanto una sterile cultura da sfoggiare col ragazzo per cui abbiamo una cotta, davanti al capo esigente o in una conversazione elegante al ristorante, ma un pezzo di noi. Perché possiamo avere una clava in mano o viaggiare col teletrasporto, ma i sentimenti descritti in questi testi sono universali e tutti noi li abbiamo provati o li proveremo una volta nella vita. Ci siamo tutte innamorate del tipo rozzo ma sensuale come Connie Chatterley e abbiamo fatto scenate di gelosia al nostro Vronskij del momento come Anna Karenina (senza buttarci sotto il treno mi auguro!) o se non li abbiamo vissuti, ci porta in mondi inesplorati, spesso fantasiosi e irraggiungibili. Perché non câè nulla di più moderno ed attuale di un grande classico.Ah, noâ¦âUlisseâ di Joyce non câè nel libro! Fiuuuutâ¦.TECNICAMENTEHo acquistato la versione kindle, quindi non posso esprimermi su rilegatura o carta o stampa. La versione kindle lâho trovata tecnicamente perfetta. Essendoci dei disegni immagino che la versione stampata sia più soddisfacente, e del resto per noi libromani avere un libro tra le mani è unâesperienza sublime, ma la versione kindle resta piacevole e fruibile.

Un bel mix di cultura e ironia
Seguo da tempo la pagina Facebook degli autori di questa raccolta, è una delle mie preferite. Non è facile mescolare divertimento e letteratura, eppure loro ci sono riusciti e non mi hanno deluso nemmeno questa volta. Hanno trovato il modo di rendere piacevole la lettura dei classici, con quel tocco di ironia e freschezza che li rende “avvicinabili” anche ai lettori meno esperti. Lo consiglio sia agli amanti della letteratura, sia a chi si sta avvicinando a passo cauto al mondo dei classici. Credetemi, finirete per amarli!

qualche difficoltà ma ne vale la pena
Ordinato con prime il libro doveva arrivarmi il 18 dicembre, ma è stata rinviata la data di arrivo fin quando il pacco non è risultato smarrito. Dopo una email dove chiedevo spiegazioni ho ricevuto risposta dopo meno di 24 ore, e il libro mi è stato mandato senza ulteriori spese.Per quanto riguarda il libro in se è leggero senza essere stupido, adatto a tutti ma più godibile secondo me da chi ha letto i veri romanzi che cita. Come in un post social, ogni riassunto ha una mini prefazione comica che racchiude il significato del romanzo in questione, e una rappresentazione grafica spesso dal doppio senso che accompagna lo scritto. Lo consiglio vivamente!
I grandi classici riveduti e scorretti
La Divina Commedia come studio è pesantuccia, come lettura pure. Riuscire a farla godere appieno non è impresa da poco, quasi improba. Questo testo riesce non solo a farla digerire, ma a renderla affettuosamente divertente. Secondo il parere di un illetterato ignorante, fosse possibile inserirla nei programmi liceali potrebbe spingere gli studenti ad approfondire il testo primigenio, col guadagno collaterale di apprendere un italiano che sta morendo, come lingua e come popolo. Avendo letto in precedenza l’Inferno, l’ho riletto con piacere ed eguale godimento in questa Commedia per intero.Bravissimi!
il libro è complementare ad istagram
Mi aspettavo un libro come le battute che gli autori postano su Instagram.E’ invece un libro dall’ironia sottile su diverse opere famose e la lettura è davvero piacevole.Riporta un po’ sui banchi di scuola quando le letture diventavano più tetre e si aveva voglia di sfare ironia.Ora, con questo libro ho la soddisfazione di sentirmi, in qualche modo, liberata dalla seriosità di una letteratura insegnata troppo “sul serio”.Bello, leggibile, non si fanno grasse risate ma si sorride con soddisfazione.Grazie agli autori
