Un libro dettagliatissimo, anche troppo…
Essendo un grandissimo fan di Michael Jackson sin dagli anni ’80, sono molto pignolo per quanto riguarda i libri, spesso pieni di errori grossolani o del solito gossip da rivista scandalistica. Devo dire che l’autore di questo libro ha fatto davvero un lavoro certosino andando ad intervistare moltissime persone che hanno lavorato con l’artista e, pertanto, creando un libro davvero dettagliato, a volte anche troppo, per esempio quando si dilunga inutilmente su alcune cifre che Jackson guadagnava addirittura mettendo i decimali… Certo, ci sono alcuni piccoli errori, forse dovuti alla traduzione italiana, come la data del testamento completamente sbagliata (invece di 2002 hanno messo una data a caso), per poi contraddirsi in un successivo capito. Ma sono quisquiglie. Come suo wikipediano (persona che scrive, corregge e crea voci Wikipedia) devo ammettere che l’autore ha fatto un buon lavoro. Forse un libro un po’ complicato se non si è fan sfegatati, perché tutta la parte iniziale non è in ordine cronologico, ma consigliatissimo se si è fan dell’artista, soprattutto se si vogliono approfondire gli ultimi anni della sua vita quando capivamo che c’era qualcosa che non andava, ma non che cosa; l’autore ci racconta per filo e per segno molti dei retroscena degli ultimi anni della sua vita. Molto bella e di qualità anche la copertina.

Personalmente non capisco la scelta dell’autore di non seguire un ordine cronologico, questo rende la lettura un po’ difficile soprattutto per la vastità di argomenti ed avvenimenti trattati. à uno di quei libri che forse va letto due volte per coglierlo appieno. Però è ben scritto: accattivante e coinvolgente. Interessante e apparentemente ben documentato… certo la verità di tante cose è morta con MJ, fatica trovarla e pensare che sia tutta in questo libro, ma forse è anche in questo il fascino del personaggio.

Abbastanza completo
Un resoconto dettagliato della vita di MJ anche se può risultare non facilissimo da leggere, infatti inizia un capitolo parlando del 2008 per spiegare un fatto capitato dieci anni prima ecc… Comunque come libro abbonda nei particolari tanto da non dover neanche leggerne altri… personalmente ho trovato un po’ inutili e noiose molte pagine non tanto riguardanti l’artista in sé ma sul susseguirsi di storie familiari dopo la sua morte o anche col dilungarsi dei particolari tecnici delle sue molte cause giudiziarie

Non l’ho ancora letto tutto ma per un fanatico del ballo e del moonwalking di MJackson quale io sono non può che essere favoloso. SONO ADDOLORATO CHE UN LIBRO DI COTAL VALORE MI SIA ARRIVATO GRAVEMENTE DANNEGGIATO: HA UN DANNO DA CADUTA SU UN LATO CHE LO ROVINA PESANTEMENTE ðªLopez SoMale
