‘Jane Austen meets Bridget Jones… Hilarious’ Glamour
Meet Butterfly – loveable socialite, avid party-goer, inspired shopper and unwittingly acute observer.
Of course everyone thinks her life is perfect but having to contend with a conniving mother-in-law, a husband who doesn’t like parties, and a circle of friends who bring new meaning to the word competitive, Butterfly thinks her life is far from enviable. And as she lurches from crisis to crisis, trailing Jimmy Choos and pearls of wisdom along the way, it seems she might have a little more on her plate than she’s first realised…
Wicked, irreverent and hugely entertaining, The Diary of a Social Butterfly gives you a delicious glimpse into the parallel universe of the have-musts.

A really enjoyable, light read. I love the counter-balance of Butterfly’s shallowness (and English mistakes) and Janoo’s earnestness. Very amusing commentary on Pakistan’ s social elite (though it would apply equally to those in other countries as well.) My only (small) criticism is there is a bit too much code-switching (into Urdu?), but I think it’s appropriate for her character, and you can skim over it. Overall, a great read!
It’s such a light easy- breezy read. Loved her tutti-fitti English, making the humor amazing, and the correlation with their current political affairs. I’m so glad I picked it up, and finished it within 2-3 days.
really fun read. I got through it within a few days on holiday. Have bought her other books after reading this one.
Got hooked on to moni. Love her style of writing . Read her and you will forget your worries
Absolutely hilarious in places but the pace starts waning a bit towards the middle. No page turner and no real direction but its a haha funny light read.
