Three friends go to a concert festival in Greece. Jody feels very beat down from her breakup with an abusive man. They get to the island venue and it is not exactly what they were expecting, but they decide to make the best of it. So many reveals make this an exciting story you wonât want to put down. And ultimately it is the story of a young woman who finds her own strength. Highly recommend and will read more from this author.
Although I ended up liking her, Jody was a little hard to take sometimes. The arc of the novel necessitated that her character grow, but it was a messy process. Music festival gone off the rails, paranoia, friends who may not be friends, trafficking of all sorts, and a killer ending.
I read it in two days. Three girl friends win a trip to Greece for a music festival, only to find it’s not quite what they thought it would be nor advertised. Strange and erie things start to unravel at festival. As a small caveat, the story revolves around abusive relationships, drugs and violence. I loved the message about female empowerment and standing together.I wasn’t vastly impressed with the ending. It left me feeling a little disappointed which I why I gave it three stars.
