Hooked till the last page
The adventure nr. 4 of our pensioners kept me reading till late night, dragging me from heroin to Baghdad and back to an Everton match. Great book, once again.
Molto empatico
clever plot, great characters, twists and turns, absolutly enthralling, superb senior conversations, short chapters, good to the very end, need a few tissues, wisdom
The Last Devil to Die is written by Richard Osman. It is Book #4 of the Thursday Murder Club series.Disturbing news reaches Elizabeth, Joyce, Ron & Ibrahim – the Thursday Murder Club. An old friend has been murdered and a âspecialâ package he was protecting has gone missing. In their desire to solve the murder, the group encounters drug dealers, art forgers, antiques dealers, antiquities experts and fraudsters of all types. As the body count increases, they donât know who to trust.Brilliant plotting, likeable, quirky characters, a nice retirement village, lots of cakes, snacks and wine and lots of information and thoughts on dementia and end of life directives. The dialogue and diary entries (thanks to Joyce) are interesting, funny, endearing, surprising, charming, intelligent and very often deeply thought-provoking.I seem to be addicted to The Thursday Murder Club! *****
It reads easily and kept me wanting to read more. The story in itself is interesting, and it is laced with pressing human issues such as dementia and growing old. I have grown fond of the characters, having read the four books.
