Una boccata dâaria fresca e tanto divertimento
Ho sempre apprezzato lo stile al contempo umoristico ed emozionante di Tessa Dare, ma con questo libro lâautrice si è superata. Unico nel suo genere, fresco, originale e anacronistico il romanzo mi ha fatto ridere, sorridere ed emozionare in un periodo difficile della mia vita. à stata una boccata dâaria fresca, capace di farmi dimenticare tutto il resto del mondo per buttarmi in una delle letture più sui generis e piacevoli mai incontrate. Lo stile dellâautrice è riconoscibile, ma al contempo molto distante da quello dei suoi precedenti libri. Non potrei paragonarlo a nessun altro libro. Si scorge proprio una maturità ed una rottura col passato e con la maggior parte dei romance storici. Un umorismo spiazzante a base di affermazioni disarmanti piuttosto anacronistiche, scene esilaranti e contraddizioni buffe animano le pagine di un libro la cui trama si evolve con una naturalezza ed unâimprevedibilità sorprendenti. I personaggi sono ben strutturati, schietti, sinceri, profondi. Non ci sono sciocchi quanto inutili fraintendimenti infiniti, nessuno dei due deve rischiare la vita per comprendere il proprio amore nei confronti dellâaltro. Entrambi hanno un vissuto difficile che si manifesta con cicatrici allâinterno ed allâesterno, ma non vi è pesantezza o drammaticità pur mantenendo una certa profondità . Il loro rapporto evolve con naturalezza e spontaneità , senza le classiche esagerazioni autodistruttive di molti libri del genere. Le scene dâamore sono molto erotiche ma non mancano tenerezza, dolcezza e dichiarazioni dâamore toccanti. Ancora sorrido al pensiero delle fantasiose imprecazioni di Ash, degli agguati mortali del pestifero Braghe, dei dolcissimi quanto creativi nomignoli che Emma affibbia ad Ash. Ho amato ogni scena, ogni aspetto della trama, ogni esilarante dialogo, ogni toccante momento, ogni spiazzante colpo di scena. Non credo che il libro abbia molta accuratezza storica, ma credo che in un certo senso sia proprio il suo punto di forza. Difficilmente un lord ed una signorina di buona famiglia avrebbero mai potuto esprimersi in un certo modo e comportarsi con una libertà tipica dei nostri tempi e probabilmente nel rompere queste barriere consiste la forza del libro. Se lo rileggerei? Anche mille volte!! Ma prima non vedo lâora di continuare questa saga che promette grandi cose. Consigliatissimo per farsi delle grasse risate e godersi un bel poâ di passione e romanticismo.

Avrei dato qualcosa in più di 4 perché, oltre alla storia e al modo in cui è scritta, ho apprezzato lâumorismo, le caratteristiche dei 2 personaggi e lâevoluzione delle cose. Divertente ed erotico!

Una storia sagace e irriverente, con una sintassi piccante e ironica . Devo dire che, se anche alcuni atteggiamenti discutibili, da parte di duchi e servitù , considerato l’epoca vittoriana nella quale si svolge la storia,il libro di x se si lascia leggere facilmente e con mia sorpresa, a ridere di esso e spesso ð Il duca sfregiato e rifiutato dal bon ton ,che pur di avere un erede sposa in fretta e furia una sartina povera in canna, figlia di un vicario bigotto. Beh, originale e un pochino inverosimile x l’epoca, ma di certo divertente. Avrei limitato le scene di sesso. Alcune, ho avuto il sospetto siano state aggiunte x allungare il brodo o x scandalizzare il lettore, in quanto l’atto in se viene consumato utilizzando epiteti poco eleganti e con zero romanticismo….Da parte mia confesso, c’è stata solo sorpresa e incredulità in tal senso, in quanto ritengo all’epoca avrebbe dovuto essere presente un minimo di signorilità e affettazione in tal senso. Nn so se leggerò le storie riguardanti le strampalate amiche di Emma la sartina…immagino che l’autrice abbia partorito x loro, altrettante storie stravaganti? Un libro x nulla impegnativo e scarsamente veritiero, ma di certo divertente…. â®ï¸

Un libro leggero, che unisce il romanticismo all’ironia. Storia particolare che ricorda un po’ “la bella e la bestia”. Molto scorrevole e non manca di scene.. piccanti.
